My Chiropractor Helped My Knee

When I was in freshman in college I had a knee problem. I went to several doctors and they all tried treating my knee but regardless of their treatments and prescribed medications the problem persisted.

Then, I went to a chiropractor.

He told me that although my pain was in my knee, the problem was really with my pelvis and low back. He explained how chiropractic care could help by aligning my spine and pelvis. I got an adjustment and began to feel relief.

A Change in Course… From an Aspiring Pilot to a Chiropractor

I was in my first year of college, aspiring to be a military pilot. After my chiropractor helped heal my knee without medication or surgery, I was sold on chiropractic care and its philosophy of natural health. I changed directions and decided to become a chiropractor. I haven’t looked back since and I love every day of my job.

In Awe of How Our Bodies Can Self-Heal

In the physiology lab at chiropractic college I was amazed by how complex the body is and awed by its capacity for self-healing. By learning how intricate our bodies are I saw how God created us to function, self-heal and thrive. I was humbled to see how I, as a chiropractor, could remove the obstacles and help set the body back on its path of natural health. It’s still very fascinating and motivating to me.

I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, Georgia in 1989 and started practicing in 1990. It’s my greatest pleasure helping those in the Matthews community achieve their wellness goals.

Showing You what Chiropractic Care Truly Is

One part of being a chiropractor that I take very seriously is showing patients like you what chiropractic care really is. I’d love to show you how it works, why we do what we do and how it can change your life.

Over the decades I have cared for everyone from pregnant mothers and newborns, to families and seniors. But watching the difference chiropractic care makes in children’s lives has been my biggest reward. I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing some truly remarkable cases of improved health.

I’ve been featured on the nationally syndicated TV magazine America Now,  where I shared how your body’s function is connected to your nervous system and how quickly our bodies can heal once everything is in its place. In the beginning not many people knew about chiropractic care or how and why it worked. It was a challenge to explain that chiropractic care was a safer, natural way to avoid needing medicine and surgery. But, now people are learning and coming to me before they’re hurt- it’s wonderful.

Reaching Out Beyond The Matthews Community

I’m a member of the Christian Chiropractors Association  and I have done mission work in Sudan, Africa. I feel that I have been blessed with the phenomenal gift of chiropractic and I enjoy reaching out to others both here and abroad with that gift.

I also enjoy working with local teachers in the Matthews school district and organizing annual food drives for the local food banks.

Raising an Active, Healthy Family Guided by Chiropractic Care

I have three kids, two of whom were born at home. They’ve never been vaccinated or taken any antibiotics and they’ve never needed it. I’ve been adjusting them since birth and my wife and I make sure that we all eat natural foods and exercise regularly.  We live a chiropractic lifestyle and we enjoy the high level of health and wellness that it provides.

We love living here in North Carolina, spending time at the beach and the mountains when we can.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me, now I’m ready to get to know you.
